This is the new king of plotting GPS receivers. It sets a new standard for fast updating with a beautiful new color display. No mapping GPS has ever calculated routes as fast as the 276C does and the color display is fully readable even in bright sunlight.
With the new rechargable Li-Ion internal battery, you can leave the AA batteries at home! The battery will charge automatically anytime the unit is connected to external power. You can expect about 7 hours of battery life before a recharge is needed.
The 276C can use any of the Garmin datacards for map and waypoint storage, including the new 256M size. A 128M datacard will let you load nearly all of 7 to 10 states with high resolution detail.
The 276C uses a new power cord design which allows two serial port connections, sound output and connections for power. The USB port allows fast transfers of data and maps from your PC.
For road bike use we recommend RAM mount GRSP3H. For mounting on a handlebar crossbar of a dual sport or dirt bike, we recommend the Touratech locking mount 065-0087. For serious off-road and rough dual-sport use, we recommend the Touratech locking mount 065-0088 which has extra soft suspension.
