 This is the basic design of most of the RAM mount systems. (shown here on a bicycle handlebar). A tough plastic 'cradle' (shaped specific to each GPS) bolts to the top two holes. There is a central clamp arm squeezing two hard rubber (1" dia.) balls. These parts are cast aluminum, and very tough. The clamp can be used 'loose' so the GPS can be moved or rotated just by pushing it around. Or the clamp can be tightened to prevent any movement. It does not slip when tight, or wear out the ball when loose. When used in this configuration (the "Z"bend, as in the picture above), the rubber balls, with the center arm, provide some "suspension", which is a necessary to protect electronic devices. It does not "buzz". All parts are interchangeable and extremely durable. See other customer's mount solutions in our Mount Gallery. This Basic handlebar mount is available as shown in the photo. |

 GRAB Round base. Sitting on a flat surface, the center of the ball is 1" above the base. 2 7/16" diameter, with lots of mounting holes

 GRAD Diamond base. Sitting on a flat surface, the center of the ball is 1" above the flat base. two 5mm holes 1.9" (=48mm) apart.

 grab9 Small angle mount. This mount is the smallest bolt-on mount. It has a 9mm hole (.35") This is the best on-bike ball mount for motorcycles with standard type clamps (such as dirt bikes) when using the angled-face garmins such as GPSIII and GPSV.

 grab11 One bolt mount. Sitting on a flat surface, the center of the ball is 1 3/8" forward and 1" above the mounting hole. 11mm hole fits well on many handlebar pinchbolts with a washer. Thickness is .180 (=5mm), so make sure your bolt is long enough. Width is 7/8" Also fits under the mirror stem locknut or many other places. Or cut off the 11mm hole and drill a 6 or 8mm hole in the remaining material. It works great on Sportbikes with an expansion plug in the hollow steering spindle. See the mount gallery.

 gra108 Large diameter mount. This mount is for adapting to larger diameters, non-circular, or other irregular surfaces. Click here to see some dimensions. Click here to see it assembled on a large diameter. Two sizez of worm-drive clamps are included, as well as a rubber slip-cover to hide the clamp. Note the hole provided (at 45 degrees) so it can be screwed to a 'corner'.
