  • Synopsis

You will find the the RAM mount very easy to assemble.

    1) Remove the GARMIN angle adjust from the GPS. If you want to retain the GARMIN mount parts (to use with the sandbag for example) then consider this (modification).
    2) Seperate the two parts that allow the angle adjustment.
    3) Attach the RAM mount to the backside of the Garmin bracket.
    4) Reinstall the GARMIN Bracket.

Remove the securing thumbscrew and remove the GARMIN angle adjust bracket from the GPS.

    Remove this tiny retainer screw.

Remove the securing thumbscrew and remove the GARMIN angle adjust bracket from the GPS....(or modify the the round base of the RAM mount).

Assemble the round flat RAM base (GRAB) onto the GARMIN bracket. From the stainless steel hardware kit supplied by RAM, use the short screws and special nuts.

Re-attach the garmin bracket to the GPS. Use caution when replacing the securing thumbscrew. Make sure it's aligned carefully as you screw it in - it's easy to cross-thread.

Keep this little thumbscrew vertical to its hole as you start the thread. Once it's gone in/out a few times it will be easy, just be careful and watch the alignment the first few times.

It's now ready to assemble into your RAM mounting system.
