Basic RAM mount Ram "grbh" mount.	This is the basic structure of the RAM mount ("grbh"). Most of the RAM cradles (for each specific GPS) fit this two-bolt base. All of the balls are the same one inch size. All parts work together.
Chrome mount for one inch bar "gCLMP1" plus "GRAHEX" mount parts.	This is the CHROME method to get a RAM ball "grahex" onto a one inch bar. To get this setup, order "grahex" and "gCLMP1". gCLMP1 is bright shiny chrome. The bolt is stainless and the post of the ball is aluminum. All of the balls are the same one inch size. All parts work together.
Hex ball attached to a "grana" Ram "GRAHEX" provides a second mounting ball on the clamp arm.	The new Hex ball ("GRAHEX") has many uses. It is supplied with a 1/4-20 thread stud which replaces the center bolt of the clamp arms ("grana", "grala" and "grasa") to provide a second mounting ball for other devices. See the Photo of "grahex". GRAHEX has a 7/16 inch hex flats. It is aluminum, and the thread depth is about .625. It is much stronger than "graball" which has external aluminum threads. IMPORTANT NOTE: When used as in the photo at left, there is a little clearance between the 7/16" hex interfaces. This allows the hex ball to slop a few degrees in rotation. If this is your desired configuration, and you find that the rotational slop is a problem, be prepared to epoxy the grahex into the clamp arm.
Pro-Taper handlebars Ram "grbh" mount on XR600R with Answer Protaper bars.	This RAM mount ("grbh") has no cradle attached. All of the RAM cradles fit this same two-bolt base at the top of the mount shown. For use on a big single-cyl, we would recommend that the handlebar clamp be moved outboard towards the throttle. This allows the RAM mount to be configured in a "Z" shape with the center clamp as a 'suspension arm' to absorb vibration. Vibration is in a vertical plane coming off the engine of this single-cylinder. Set the arm of the RAM mount perpendicular to the vibration (ie parallel to the handlebar). On a BMW boxer for example the arm should be fore-aft. Try to avoid aligning the arm with the direction of piston travel. This photo (Pro-Taper handlebars) shows a non-desireable orientation. Some folks think the RAM system looks flimsy (judging from the photos). This is WRONG! The RAM parts are super tough, and as if they need it, are backed by a lifetime warranty. We use the RAM mounts for serious off-road, jumps and all. No worries!
TOURATECH (III/V) mount on a RAM arm The bright aluminum CNC part above is the Touratech GPSIII/V mount, 065-0022. The assembly of black powdercoated cast parts is the RAM "grbh" basic handlebar mount.	The Touratech eMap, OLD StreetPilot and III+, V mounts mate perfectly with the RAM system. If you like the trick CNC look of the Touratech and the powercord retainer, but also like the quick-release and adjustability of the RAM system.....combine the two! The RAM system makes it easy to attach the Touratech mount to a larger handlebar. In addition you get the quick-release feature of the RAM mount. The RAM can be used to elevate the Touratech mount above a tankbag, for example and adds a bunch of great features. And with the RAM attached, you can use the Touratech in your car, with the suctioncup adapter. The Touratech StreetPilot mount ("065-0032") on the "grbh". adapter is shown below.
TOURATECH SP mount on RAM arm The bright aluminum CNC part above is the German Touratech StreetPilot mount, 065-0032, for the older StreetPilot Greyscale and colormap. The assembly of black powdercoated cast parts (shown above) is the American RAM "grbh" basic handlebar mount. To use the StreetPilot (a large GPS) used on an off-road motorcycle or snowmobile we recommend this combination. For StreetPilot III, use 065-0039 or the locking version 065-0056	The Touratech eMap, StreetPilot and GPSV mounts mate perfectly with the RAM system. If you like the trick CNC look of the Touratech, but prefer the quick-release and adjustability of the RAM system.....combine the two! Radar detector + GPS Here are some RAM parts. The "greth" mount is shown using a wide base plate ("GRA2X6") in lieu of the "GRAD".	The arrangement at left allows room to mount a radar detector or other device next to your GPS. You may have to oversize the holes or drill the plate. The plate is about 1/4 inch thick aluminum. You can cut the plate narrower also. Round platform for adar detector ONLY (below). Below is the complete mount "GRSP3H" which provides a flat round platform (2.5 inch diameter) that many customers are using to support radar detectors (with velcro) and cell-phone clamps. Round platform included is item "GRAB" on the parts page. If you order "GRSP3H" you get everything in the picture below.
ZX-9R Radar jammer + Radar detector Gra2X6, grana, grab11, gcep13 parts shown supporting Pete's radar Jammer and detector on his new 2001 ZX-9R. (GCEP13 discontinued - replaced by GCREDS)	GRA2X6, grana, grab11, gcep13 shown without the devices. This ZX-9R owner may cut the 2"X6" plate a little narrower. He plans to use plastic-interlock (like velcro) to hold the devices to the plate. (GCEP13 discontinued - replaced by GCREDS) The 6" wide plate cleared 100% with steering lock-to-lock, and from riding position, the guages are in full view. Plus, it's quick-release, leaving just the "GRAB11" ball on the steering spindle.
Apple iPod on BMW R1150GS	The new Apple iPod mounted on a BMW R1150GS. On this GS, the GRAB9 is installed onto the handlebar clamp bolt (using bolt GCMXB), not using the GRAH that comes with the kit: GRIPDH. See the GRIPDH kit (with u-bolt mount). FYI see dimensions of the GRAH (u-bolt mount) here.
Garmin iQue 3600 on BMW R1150GS	The new Garmin iQue 3600 mounted on a BMW R1150GS. On this GS, the GRAB9 is installed onto the handlebar clamp bolt (using bolt GCMXB), not using the GRAH that comes with the GRPDA kit. See the GRPDA kit (with u-bolt mount). Video Camera on gas-filler	GRAH, GRANA, and GRABAL2 parts shown supporting a large Video camera, using some longer bolts thru the gas cap filler ring. See dimensions of the GRAH here. The complete kit of these 3 parts (item GRCH) saves a few bucks. We think this camera looks kinda big for anything but smooth riding. ---> the usual don'ts.....we can't advise messing with your fuel cap bolts. Any modifications to your motorcycle are at your own risk.
Delphi XM radio on a shelf Mounted on an FJR1300 This customer used parts "GRAD", "GRASA"; and "GRAB" to mount his radio on an aftermarket shelf.(on "ECM" shelf from FJRGoodies.com). The Delphi XM radio cradle has the standard four-hole military pattern (1-1/2 X 1 3/16) that matches item GRAB. For a complete handlebar mount that includes item "GRAB", use item GRSP3H.	Delphi XM radio with modified StreetPilot 2610 SunShade (065-0405). Modification is easy, just crease the plastic stiffener (at the red lines in the photo) to match the shape of the radio. Notice that the sunshade also functions as a "hold-down strap" to keep the radio firmly anchored in its cradle.
