This 12v adapter has a converter in the cigarette lighter plug that reduces the voltage from 12v to 2.5v. Two-wire cable. End has only two pins; +2.5v and GND. For Motorcycle use, the voltage regulator must be hardened against vibration or it will last only a day or so (see below). For dirt bikes, see gce3Vc below. Note- To use this cord, you must have batteries inside the eMap. Often, old batteries which do not have enough power to run the eMap continuously still have enough power to start the eMap. After startup it automatically switches over to draw from the 12v cord. Don't worry, it works fine. Just remember to keep batteries inside the eMap.
