The design is almost the same as the Quest handlebar bracket except with the addition of a key-lock. Thus the unit can be secured better in the bracket and it is difficult to remove the unit without a key. This is an advantage that should not be underestimated when filling gasoline for example because it is very tedious having to remove all the equipment from the motor bike all the time.
The handlebar bracket for the StreetPilot is of a rugged construction which is vibration isolated using rubber buffers. The device simply clips on the bracket. Connection to the electrical system is by means of a separate power cable.
