StreetPilot III mounting details1) These 3 items comprise the RAM "grsps" StreetPilot III suction cup mount. The rubber Suction cup "gras" is shown on the bottom. The "grana" arm is in the middle, and the "grab" round base is at the top. The four screws and nuts are included. The center clamp arm "grana" fits all one inch balls. See the parts page for other applications. 2) This is the angle-adjust dash mount that comes with the StreetPilotIII package. It must be removed to install the RAM mount, then you put it back on. It has an angle-adjust base, and wraps around the back of the GPS, up to the safety screw (#5) at the top. 3) These are two of the four screws that hold the Ram mount to the Garmin dash mount. The Garmin dash mount has four countersunk holes ready to accept the RAM mount. This gives some indication of what Garmin thinks of RAM mounts...... !!! 4) This is the rubber plug covering the power and data input. Plug the 12v cig-lighter cord in here. 5) This is a thumbscrew that acts as a 'safety' to keep the SPIII in its mount. It's part of the Garmin mount. NOTE that it's very easy to crossthread into its hole. Be careful not to crossthread it! For motorcycle use this safety screw is essential. 6) This is the speaker output jack that powers the speaker (in the ciglighter adapter housing) for the spoken directions. It's about 2mm dia. (smaller than a standard 3mm stereo plug). SPIII helmet speakers is available too. |
