MvG style is the only hope if you want to run the GPS on its internal batteries on a single cylinder motorcycle. Similar to 065-0022 but with super-suspension. Holds powercord G10085 or GC12V. Hardwire is still the best way. If battery power is required for your application, we further recommend taping the batteries as on battery tips.

Internal vibration modification of GPSIII/V is not required with this mount, even for 2-stroke use.

Our rugged brackets for the GPSII and GPS III and V are made of laser-cut stainless steel and aluminium. It attaches to the crossbar using two clamps. Four rubber vibration isolators protect the circuitboard in the GPS.

The GPS engages the bracket using the existing pockets of the GPS bezel.

The clear MacrolonŽ antenna support damps vibration to protect the swivel joint, and is transparent to GPS incoming signal. (allows three different antenna orientations). The GARMINŽ power cord can be attached to this mount such that when the GPS is inserted into the mount it powers automatically.

The GPS II / III / V can either be mounted horizontally or vertically.

For Single-cylinder motorcycles and especially 2-stroke we recommend "MvG" version of this mount 065-0035.

This Ram Handlebar Mount is most useful for mounting a Touratech GPS Mount on your handlebars. The diamond base is easy to adapt to any number of accessories. Most of the RAM cradles fit the diamond base.

Many enduro bikes have don't have a crossbar. Many streetfighters with high handlebars don't have one, although it is ideal for mounting some interesting accessories:

These universal crossbars fit handlebars with 22 to 25mm diameter (standard steel or aluminium handlebars and MAGURA or ProTaper handlebars that have a conical shape). Easily removeable if you don't need a crossbar all the time. Anodized solid aluminum.

The 320mm is the most popular crossbar for most Magura and ProTaper Dirtbike handlebars. 320 mm (or approx. 12.5 inches) is the total length of the aluminum bar only (not hole-to hole, and not counting the clamps, like the length of a stick). Diameter is approx. 12mm or 1/2".

Note: For GPS use this is a great choice. Please see the instl photo. Drill the hole out a little to fit tightly on the G10085 powercord. Note that due to the small size, the ground wire must be soldered to the tab.

If your motorcycle doesn't have a BMW-type accessory socket or if you need an additional BMW socket this will allow you to attach one to the bike on any 7/8" or 1" bar (handlebars, frame, etc.). Kit comes with all mounting hardware and wiring to connect directly to the bike's 12v battery.

For flush-mount applications the plug can be removed from the plastic bracket and installed directly onto a panel, fairing section or flat surface with the proper size hole drilled out.

This is the correct socket to add to the bike if you need to plug in accessories with BMW-style plugs such as our CHALA lamps, heated vests or a battery charger. For attaching devices with a standard cigarette lighter plug use the 030-0017 adapter to plug into this BMW socket.

Many dirt bikes have a very simple electrical system to reduce weight. Many run only a headlight and tail light with12vAC (no battery). These systems can be suitable to charge a battery by the simple addition of a regulator / rectifier. But to supply expensive electronics, a more elaborate system is required, to provide smooth output without voltage spikes. There are two ways to do this. One is to use a large battery. If your battery is large enough to run a starter motor then this unit may not be necessary. If you don't have electric starting then the battery is probably too small to protect electronics from dirty input power.

Our power converter is a regulator / rectifier, with output smoothing by capacitors. Electronic circuitry boosts voltage during times when generator output drops (engine idle) - it can produce 15v from as low as 6v input.
This unit is recommended to operate certain GPSs which allow a wide input range (some accept up to 30V). GPSs which accept a wide input range must have smooth power input! (not 30v spikes!). If the input voltage varies a lot (with RPM or spikes) then the GPS can set up input voltage incorrectly and damage itself. Another condition which is dangerous to electronics is when the motorcycle battery is very low, the resistance is high thus voltage spikes are not absorbed by the battery. For example an electric-start dirtbike with a low battery (using the kickstarter?) is a dangerous situation for electronics. If you are not using this device we recommend that you disconnect the GPS until the battery has recharged to the point that it can start the engine. Use this converter to ensure a constant safe supply for your electronics.

The other model 030-0020 will work as well, but having a higher voltage (15v)provides better headroom for low generator output conditions (such as idle speed). To charge a small 12v battery in addition to running a 12v GPS you will need the 15v model. We cannot guarantee suitability of this item for your GPS or for charging batteries - this is just a suggestion. Be sure to verify that the input requirements for your GPS allow for 15vDC input at 160mA (= 2.4Watts).

NOTE: Most handheld GPSs require less than 2.4 watts. But for example, the Garmin GPS276C input requirements (~10W) are substantially higher than this unit's output.
