Sunday Morning. Chris is riding, but he hasn't woken up yet. |
Good morning Perry! |
Nick, near Boiling Lake. This is a beautiful place, and it's open only for a few months in the summer. The rest of the time it's buried in snow. (Altitude 7200ft) |
Chris has woken up and is starting to appreciate the basin. Too bad the exit climb to Horesehead Pass is only 1/2 mile away..... |
Nick gets some help on the third switchback ascending Horsehead Pass. Helge looks down the hill at the switchbacks already conquered. |
Switchback 3: Chris and Perry find that it's not easy to assist a Norwegian who intends to "do it himself." |
Switchback 3: Chris and Perry stand back as Helge muscles and finesses 450 lbs of BMW up Horsehead Pass. It's a good thing he stopped in at Ride West BMW for a bashplate before this trip. |
